“Writing Poetry Your Way”: Foundations of Poetry for All Levels

“Writing Poetry Your Way” is a six-week poetry writing session held on Tuesdays from February 25 through March 31 at Somers Point’s Dawes Avenue School Library, 22 West Dawes Avenue from 6-7:30 p.m. Presented by Maria Leonetti, Somers Point’s former poet laureate, “Writing Poetry Your Way” is open to practicing or beginning poets. Participants have opportunities to learn various forms of poetry and to write and read their poetry at each session in an open sharing forum.
There is no charge for participating in “Writing Poetry Your Way”. This program is made possible by funds from the Atlantic County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs, a partner of the NJ State Council on the Arts. Dawes Avenue School Library is a handicapped accessible facility, provided through the Somers Point Public Schools and in partnership with its Community Education Recreation Office.
