30th Annual Somers Point Beach Concert Series Brings Big-Name Bands Weekly Through Sept. 8

Shows at the William Morrow Beach are free and start at 7 p.m.

Somers Point, NJ (June 16, 2023) – The 30th Annual Somers Point Concert Series is back on Friday nights through September 8 with free musical entertainment on the bandstand at the William Morrow Beach in Somers Point. In addition to the free concert series on Friday nights, a bonus show will be offered on Tuesday, July 4.

Named the Best Outdoor Concert Series for 2023 by USA Today, the Somers Point Concert Series, produced by the City of Somers Point and the all-volunteer Somers Point Beach Concert Committee, is celebrating its 30th anniversary. The diverse lineup of performers includes international recording artists, Grammy Award winners, members of the Rock ‘n’ Roll and International Blues Halls of Fame, as well as top regional acts performing a variety of musical genres from country, classic and jam rock, blues, soul, jazz, and swing, among others.

The Somers Point Beach Concerts are free and held on William Morrow Beach, located on Bay Avenue between Higbee and New Jersey avenues in Somers Point, where the public is invited to bring their beach chairs, blankets, and coolers. There are limited snacks and beverages (non-alcoholic) available for purchase. In addition to the great live music, concertgoers will enjoy the bayfront beach views of the sunset reflecting off the glimmering bay and the Ocean City skyline as the backdrop.

Funding for the Somers Point Beach Concert Series has been provided in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, through a grant administered by the Atlantic County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs. To reach the beach via public transportation from the North or South, buses stop on Shore Road. Go east on New Jersey Avenue to Bay Avenue. A wheelchair-accessible area is on the Higbee Avenue side of the beach near the stage.
